Twelve year old Ziléke de Jager of Aberdeen once again has proved her mettle at the Bloemfontein National Championships. This is the biggest show in the country, lasting ten days, and the Springbok team is chosen during the first three days. Ziléke won second prize (reserve champion) in the three gaited pleasure horse category on her mount Fox Junior in the under fourteen age group. The pair is trained by Suemari Botha of Camdeboo Stables near Pearston.
The judges were very impressed with the young horsewoman. According to one of the judges in the Springbok team selection, Ziléke is expected to have a great future in the riding world!
